Vivo V5 introduced by Vivo, a sister brand of OnePlus and Meizu which is a mid-range selfie camera focused Android phone. The 20 megapixels front facing camera is the major attraction where as the disappointing HD display (1280×720) is the biggest down fall in the hardware specification of the Vivo V5. Vivo V5 is a different Android phone in the mid range with certain pros and cons which we will have it in detail in later sections. Lets have a look on some key hardware specs:

Vivo V5 Display Spec Review:
The 5.5 inch, IPC LCD, capacitivie multi touch screen all seems to be fine except the Vivo V5 has only an HD display with resolution 1280×720, which is definitely a downfall against most of the other competitor phones as they have a FHD 1920×1080 display resolution. As a user if you are not concerned of this then that should be fine.
Vivo V5 Chipset and Memory spec Review:
Running on a 64-bit Qualcomm 652 Octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM looks pretty decent and a good combination for the price range. On the storage side the V5 has a static 32GB internal memory which can be expanded by a microSD card upto 128GB which is also a good option for users. Now a days many of the devices does not even have an expandable storage option. The expandable storage option is much needed at least in Vivo V5 case where you have a whopping 20MP front camera which will deliver bigger size camera images.
Vivo V5 Camera spec Review:
The Vivo V5 is completely a selfie focused phone having an outstanding 20MP SONY IMX376 image sensor front facing camera, which is pretty awesome for a selfie lover. Adding more it also has a moonlight flash on the front side which will accompany to deliver the perfect selfie shot that you want. V5 also has a software processing Face Beauty Mode 6.0 to get the perfect selfie the way you want. A 13MP primary camera on the back side of the phone seems to be lighter as compared to the front facing camera of course.
Other hardware spec review on the Vivo V5:
Other hardware spec include a finger print sensor which unlocks the phone in just 0.2 seconds. A custom made AK4376 hi-fi audio chip claims to deliver unparalleled sound quality, of course most mid-range phones won’t have this. Smart Split 2.0 gives you multi window, there is an eye protection mode similar to display temperature feature found in CyanogenMod ROM. 3000mAh battery with quick charge support will have the ability to keep the juice for the whole day and recharge it with a blink of eye respectively.
The Vivo V5 is priced at Rs 17890 approximately same as the Oppo F1s. Being a mid range phone with respect to the price and the hardware specs it seems to have a perfect balance among every hardware spec and having more weight on the Selfie camera makes this to target Selfie lovers. Overall the hardware spec looks pretty decent with a con at the display resolution.
